# RSS Import Problems

 * Hello,
 * I’m switching from another blog system to wordpress 2.6.3. When trying to import
   my old posts via RSS file, I get a few successful entries then the error: Importing
   post…Couldn’t get post ID. When I remove the offending entry and retry the import,
   it proceeds for a bit, then errors out again. This happened with 10 of the 85
   entries. What should I look for in the offending entries to get them to import?

 * Ok, figured it out. Looking at the PHP error logs, the import script was puking
   whenever it hit quote marks. Just did a global search and replace on the RSS.
   txt and the import proceeded fine. Maybe the script can output the PHP error 
   to the screen for those that do not have access to the error.log.
