# RSS Validation Error

 * International people come and leave comments on my site in say, Spanish or Japanese,
   and my feeds stop working:

 * Those ?? are invalid characters. Why does this happen, and how can it be prevented?

 * The problem seems to be related to the “Feeds should not be served with the “
   text/html; charset=”utf-8″” media type” error, which is also echoed in your main
   feed:

 * Perhaps a plugin is interfering?
 * If that isn’t the case, replacing the feed files may help. Replacing the Header
   Template is also worth a shot.
