# rss widget – sorting help

 * So, I’ve created an rss aggregator in .net to pull in different xml files and
   output into one rss feed. It is valid RSS but has pubDates in the future since
   it is used as a type of calendar/events list.
 * When I add it as an rss widget in the sidebar the items in the feed are coming
   through in the order they are originally inserted into the feed.
 * All browsers display the feed in a proper date order, granted I want to reverse
   that too, but thats the next hurdle.
 * Is there any way to specify the sort order of rss widget feeds? where is the 
   code for this widget?
 * any ideas why certain readers sort rss “as is” and others do it by date, or know
   of widget/plugins that allow you to select?
 * — yes I could just do this all in my own widget, but I want it to be consumable
   and portable
