# Rules update failed

 * Hi,
    I have problem on several websites to update firewall rules. Manual update
   ends with error message “Rule update failed. No rules were updated. Please verify
   your website can reach the Wordfence servers.” Folders are writable, on Diagnostic
   page is everything green (Connecting to Wordfence serversj, etc). Hosting provider
   told me, that there are no blocks on their side.
 * This problem persists three weeks on ten sites, different hosting accounts with
   the same hosting provider. I have no problem on some other hosting accounts with
   this provider.
    I tried fresh new wordpress install on new domain and I got update
   problem too.
 * Is there any tool to check if connection between servers (hosting and wordfence)
   is not blocked?

 * Can you please try deleting the `wflogs` directory to see if it helps? It will
   be automatically regenerated, usually within 30 minutes.

 * Thanks for your reply, problem is solved now, it started to work after few days,
   but I have no idea where was the problem.
