 * Is it possible to download and replace the old rules with the latest version 
   via ftp?
 * I cannot update the rules manually ‘Please verify you have permissions to write
   to the /wp-content/wflogs directory’ which has the correct permissions. Neither
   can I ‘dismiss’ the warning message.

 * Can you please try deleting the `wflogs` directory to see if it helps? It will
   be automatically regenerated, usually within 30 minutes.
 * Please let me know how it goes.
