 * Hi,
    I have already a WordPress website on my hosting, and the data base prefix
   is the basic wp_ I would like to install a second WordPress using the same database.
   I know that I have to use a different prefix for the new website, but my question
   is, do I have to change the data base prefix of the first website already in
   place? The wp_ ? Will that break the old website to create a new one with a different
   prefix if I don’t make a change to the old database? If I have to do it, a link
   to a good tutorial will be appreciated because I know how to start from scratch
   but not how to modify the whole old database in place.
 * Thanks for your help!
    Elisa

 * You certainly can. But why do you want to do this? Hosting restriction?n

 * No, you don’t have to. As long as the prefixes for the two sites are different,
   you should be OK.
 * You may want to change the existing `wp_` to something random to improve security,
   but that has nothing to do with the fact that you want to use the same database
   for another website. If you want to change this, most of the security plugins
   can do this for you with a single click.

 * Hi George,
    Thank you for your answer! Yes it is about my hosting, I can run
   only one data base. Thanks for your help!
