# S3-Compatible (Generic) – Error

 * I am attempting to test out the S3-Compatible (Generic), but I keep getting the
   following error:
 * `(UpdraftPlus_S3::putObject(): [6] Could not resolve host: https)`
 * I am using the Synology C2 Object storage. I am also tried to use a Minio server,
   but I get the same error.

 * This implies that you have entered a URL in the “S3 end-point” field instead 
   of the host name. Don’t do that; enter a bucket name or bucket name and path (
   hover your mouse over the text input field for more help).

 * That fixed the problem. Sorry there are no hover overs or examples.
