Safari Browser Not Support WebP

Hi. i have googled some stuff and came to know that safari web browser not support webp. i wanted to know how this plugin going to handle that? if i convert all images to webp do safari going to show blank white space instead of image? and if yes than what is the possible solution for that? Thank You
