Im trying out translatepress for my site. Im struggling with an issue that appears.

For example on PAGE A, i have a phrase, for example “- APPLE -” (including the symbols). If i translate that to i.e “- APFEL -” in german, and the word “- APPLE -” exists on PAGE B , that value also gets translated to “- APFEL -“, even though i dont want it to have the symbols.

Is there a way to have all strings unique somehow?

  • Hello,

TranslatePress works at the string level.
Thus, each string is different from the other, but, if a string/element is used in more than one location. – It will show the same translation as it is the same string.

A workaround is to create different elements for each page instead of using global elements.

    Cheers,
