# Save and Close Button/Action??

 * Hi All,
 * Does anybody know how to get a “save & close” or “save & return” button/feature
   in the edit pages/posts/custom posts screens? (as well as an update button)
 * Currently, WordPress only has an “update” button when editing a page/post etc.
   This can be very problemtatic in a number of cases
 * 1. Editor is inexpereinced and edits a page and then doesn’t know how to get 
   back to the “pages” list area.
 * 2. Everytime an “update” is performed and the edit screen is returned to, the
   possiblity of “autosave” posts is incremented. This means many autosaves are 
   unneccessary ie the page is idle.
 * In a lot of cases all that is wanted is a quick edit and return back to the “
   pages/posts” list page to continue editing other pages/posts.
 * Am I the only one who finds this behaviour frustrating? I cant seem to find any
   info on it.
 * I am looking for a plugin/functions.php solution ie avoid hacking core files.
 * Any ideas?
