 * I changed code so it supports my custom post types and now I want changes to 
   be permanent after plugin update.
 * What is the best way to do it?

   for your message.
 * How have you added support for your theme/plugin in BNFW? I might be able to 
   suggest an alternative way.
    Otherwise, you’re probably better off creating an
   override function in your functions.php file or a specific functions plugin for
   your site.
