Saving Code in sidebar widget adds “\” everywhere

Hi guys, am using WP 2.8.4

on my sidebar text widget, I had (example) the following advert:-

Now, I have just updated the ad’s and when I go to save it, the result is a non-working code as follows:-

Does anyone know what I need to do?
