# Scan failed

 * Can you please help me. Cannot complete the scan. I have consulted with the web
   host. They told me that the settings on the webhost are fine. Can you please 
   advise me how to complete the scan, Thank you George.

   in touch!
 * `max_execution_time` should be no more than 60, as larger numbers in our experience
   tend to time out more often. Wordfence will use no more than half this value.
   It’s certainly worth giving that a try from what I can see in your screenshots.
 * If that doesn’t help, send us a diagnostic report just so we can check for other
   possible configuration issues. Send it to **wftest @ wordfence . com** directly
   from the link at the top of the **Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics** page. Then
   click on **“Send Report by Email”**. **Please add your forum username where indicated
   and _respond here after you have sent it._**

 * I was unable to send the test-message through the wordpress support interface,
   so I am sending the message as an email [wftest@wordfence.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/scan-failed-83/wftest@wordfence.com?output_format=md),

 * I was unable to send the test message via Wordfence, how should I proceed? Please
   provide an email address where I can send the message generated in the email 
   attachment.
