 * Hi! Google search console is showing error: Breadcrumbs > Missing field “item”(
in “itemListElement”). That error comes from automatically generated schema markup
with plugin SEO Yoast. This post with error has Yoast schema default for posts
which is Web Page. Is there any way you can fix this error? I know when you put
this code Yoast SEO generates into Schema markup validator, it doesn’t show any
error, but Google search console does. Can you fix it somehow, or is there a
way I can disable this Web Page schema markup without deactivating whole plugin?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fschema-markup-breadcrumbs-error%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi Meg,
 * Thanks for reaching out regarding your breadcrumbs schema.
 * I checked the page via the Google Rich results testing tool and noticed the same
error as you have mentioned. When I looked into the source code of the page,
I noticed that all the meta tags, even from Google Analytics, are also occurring
twice within the source code. Due to these duplicate codes, Google validates
both schemas of breadcrumbs as a single one, and due to that, Google is showing
the errors for the breadcrumb with the specific error.
 * These duplicate codes and tags would mostly be because of using `wp_head()` twice
on the respective page files by your theme developer or the theme which you are
using is adding all the tags within the `<head> </head>` twice for the respective
pages. It could also be some errors within the theme. As other plugin meta tags
are also occurring twice, can you please contact your theme developer to look
   into this case?
You can search the `<head>` within the page source code and
can find out all the codes that are duplicating.
 * Therefore, I recommend that you perform a conflict check to find out whether
the theme or any plugin is causing the duplication of all the <head> codes within
the respective page. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to **deactivate
all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme** like [Twenty Twenty](https://wordpress.org/themes/twentytwenty/).
 * Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not,
we recommend using the [Health Check & Troubleshooting](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which **does not affect normal
   visitors to your site**.
 * If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a
step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: [How to check for plugin conflicts](https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/)
 * If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve
your issue, our [Yoast SEO Premium plugin](https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/)
comes with one year of (technical) support.
 * I hope this will give you some pointers
