 * Hi – We have some nested menus with over 10 menu items that become inaccessible
   on smaller resolution screens. The lower menu items off the screen cannot be
   accessed or scrolled to.
    Is there a solution to this other than reducing the
   menu item height (we’ve done this already and don’t really want to make them
   any smaller)
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fscrollable-nested-menus%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hello [@thegreatbear](https://wordpress.org/support/users/thegreatbear/), thanks
   for choosing Bento! By design the mobile menu should be scrollable – could you
   please tell me which mobile device (and browser) you are using to view the website?
   Have you tried any different devices as well?

 * Hi –
 * I’ve tried this on Chrome 77 on Windows 10 and on the same browser in the MacOS
   and on Edge but the behaviour is the same… These aren’t using the mobile theme
   but have smaller screen resolutions (1366 x 768)..
 * The last item on the Video Transfer ([https://thegreatbear.net/](https://thegreatbear.net/))
   menu can’t be accessed, scrolling with the mouose wheel scrolls the page rather
   than the menu..
 * Thanks

 * Do you mean you’re seeing a mobile-style side-menu on a 1366×768 resolution?

 * Hello,
 * I’m a colleague at Greatbear.
 * The menu scrolling problem doesn’t relate to the mobile-style side menu, but
   the regular drop-down menu, when viewed on smaller screens.
 * When one attempts to scroll down to see the lower items on the drop down menu,
   only the page behind the menu scrolls. One cannot navigate to the lower items
   in the drop down. For example, in the drop down menu: “video transfer” > “video
   cassette” > “Video 2000” is not visible.
 * As a temporary work-around I have reduced the size and padding of the logo in
   the header, which has freed up some space, and I can now just reach down to “
   Video 2000″ on a 13” laptop screen. However, we’d like to be able to return to
   our original logo size, and add one or two more items to the drop down menu.
 * Thanks for your help, Melanie

 * Ah, I see, thank you for the explanation! 🙂 In this case there’s no specific
   mechanism to scroll the submenu separately – since it’s an absolutely positioned
   element, which is a standard practice in designing navigation menus. The only
   thing I can recommend in this case is reducing the number of the submenu items,
   either by introducing a new layer of hierarchi into that navigation section or
   prioritizing the most important submenu items. This is also likely to improve
   usability for your visitors, since the menus will become more easy to browse
   with the eye.
