To address your first point, I believe that work would need to be done by the search-filter plugin author or in configuring the plugin correctly to be able to display links from Link Library.
Link Library stores all of its data in a standard WordPress custom post type, called link_library_links. The data on each of the links is then either stored in the standard post type fields, such as post_title, or in custom fields, such as link_url, link_description, etc…
If search-filter can support custom post types and custom fields, then you’re in business. I can provide the names of other custom fields as needed to help in this process.
I do not fully understand your second question about using a custom taxo. Could you explain this further?

I would like to rephrase my question: I have checked out several “Filter” Plugins and I feel, that the post type of the link library is not really public.
The plugin “Filter Everything” as well as “Search & Filter” are just showing page and post as selectable post type.
Also the plugin polylang cannot be used with the link library plugin, since its post type is not selectable.
I doubt that multiple plugins do not implement the custom post type wrongly, since other custom post types are recognized.
Therefore, I really would like you to check if the link library plugin sets its post type as public within the wordpress installation.
