# Search function issues

 * Hi,
 * Im just earlier today installed Ultimate Faq plugin, and setup up some questions
   and answer.
 * I have two issues, both concerning the search box/ function.
 * When i type in a word in the search box i get options off solutions but when 
   i click on one of them nothing happens realy.
 * When i use “swedish” letters such as “å ä ö” the search box return all my solutions?.
 * It feels kinda stupid after buying the plugins if it cant handle this two basic
   functions, but im sure its a mistake somehow from my end.
 * EDIT:
    After some more test, ive come to the conclusion that if i write the search
   word without the swedish letters both issues above are fixed, so the issue is
   concerning only how to handle the swedish letters Å, Ä, Ö.
 * Since this is a swedish company site its important its working.

 * Hi André,
 * We’ve run some tests on our end and the plugin seems to handle those characters
   fine. We’ve added a new FAQ to our demo site (here: [http://www.etoilewebdesign.com/ultimate-faq-demo/faq-search-page/](http://www.etoilewebdesign.com/ultimate-faq-demo/faq-search-page/))
   called: “Who are jöe and jåne.” And you’ll see that, if you type either jöe or
   jåne into the search box (with the accents on the letters), it finds only that
   new FAQ.
 * I’m not quite sure what the difference would be on your end. Could it be that
   you have an incorrect charset set somewhere?

 * Hi and thx for fast reply.
 * Its a new installation so it is installed with utf8 so shouldnt be that old issue
   with db latin….
 * But where else do you mean we could have issues with Charset?
