# Search function not working as expected.

 * Our search function is entering text backwards. Began troubleshooting but haven’t
   found the issue. I am new to WordPress’s functionality or backend. Trying to 
   resolve without taking the site offline. This issue was reported to me a few 
   days ago. Not sure if it’s a plugin or a conflict with the latest WordPress version.
   We are using WordPress 6.7.1 with the Salient theme. Most of the site is default
   or basic setup.

 * This problem may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to deactivate 
   all plugins and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-Four theme. If the problem
   goes away, re-activate them one by one to identify the source of the problem.
 * If you can install plugins, install [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/).
   On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to deactivate all plugins
   and change the theme for you while you’re still logged in **without affecting
   normal visitors to your site**.
