securimage_play.php 404s

    Hey Mike,

    Using plugin v2.7.6.2 and WordPress v3.5 (aka both the latest), my server logs are showing a number of 404s to /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/captcha-secureimage/securimage_play.php. I searched the plugin source and couldn’t find reference to securimage_play.php, so not sure if this is actually i.e. a leftover bug from an older version or just spambot hack attempts or something, but thought I’d mention it just in case…

    securimage_play.php was removed in an older version because hackers figured out how to hack the audio captcha. So it is probably hackers trying to hack it.

    Alright, gotcha. I assumed as much, just thought I should be sure. Sounds like a job for .htaccess 🙂
