    Hey!
First of all thanks for a great plug-in that so far seems to be working great.

Even if the plug seems to be working just fine it seems to be having some kind of a security problem. The problem in question is in combination with running the plug-in specified at the link below:
    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/baw-wordpress-plugin-security-checker/

I get an error that looks like this:
    Plugin Security Checker: Security Warning!
Tumblr Crosspostr (folder “tumblr-crosspostr”) have been removed from official repository.

Could you please tell me if this is a problem to actually worry about or not?
Why has it been removed from the official plug in repository?

    Thanks again!

I have never heard of that other plugin and bluntly wouldn’t trust it at all. For one thing, it hasn’t been updated since WordPress 3.6 came out, which is many years old now. Even if it was once a good plugin, it’s very outdated now. For another, Tumblr Crosspostr clearly has not been removed from the WordPress plugin repository because otherwise this support forum would not exist. 😉

As far as I know, there is no security issue with using Tumblr Crosspostr. If there is, the best thing to do is to report it to me privately by looking up my contact details from my homepage (linked from my plugin author page on this site) so that I can fix it quietly without alerting others to the vulnerability before it is patched.

If you’re running security scanners on your site, first make sure the security tool is up to date. The plugin you’re talking about stoppd being maintained before Tumblr Crosspostr was even written.
