# Security Release

 * Concerning a security and maintenance release for a WP version. Does it contain
   just the files that have been fixed or the whole WP installation? My header has
   been modified and I want to keep it that way. If the release contains the whole
   WP installation is it possible to extract the files that have been fixed and 
   install only them? If it is possible then where can I find a list of the files
   that have been fixed?

 * Minor releases contain just the changed files.
    Edit: That’s not to say that 
   a zip of the entire WP minor version isn’t available. But the one that is installed
   does not contain the wp-content folder.
 * In addition, the WP files are separate from the theme files where your header
   template is. If there is an update to your theme, the entire theme folder is 
   deleted and the new one is unzipped. That’s why theme changes should be made
