# Select Field Doesn’t Display Database Data

 * I just installed and activated this. To begin, I created a simple form with only
   a Select field. I configured the Select field to be a column from a table in 
   a MySQL database. During the configuration, it accepted my hostname, username,
   password, and database; found the table; and allowed me select the column. After
   saving, the form appears under Form Maker | Forms. When I view it, it shows label“
   State” and a select box with “[States:Name]” which is the table:column from my
   database. But when I preview or load from a live page, all I get is the label
   and an empty select box. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

 * If we understand you correctly, you are connecting to Remote database. Please
   make sure that the database is not private or it doesn’t have any limit for permissions.
