# Selective Markdown Without JetPack

 * I want to be able to wrap my markdown content in <div markdown=”1″></div> to 
   give me control over when I use markdown as most plugins I’ve tried force MD 
   for all posts and then covert to HTML when the plugin is deactivated.
 * JetPack allows this, but I don’t want to install it for just this one feature.
 * There was a stand-alone version of the MD functionality here: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack-markdown/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack-markdown/)
   but sadly it’s just been taken down.
 * Can suggest an alternative please? Or provide a link to the module mentioned 
   above?

   few Markdown plugins that might help you get the functionality you are looking
   for.
