Selectively remove post meta

Hi,

I moved all entry meta right underneath the title, next to date, and I’d like to remove them from the post footer. I found this code in another thread:

add_action( 'wp', function() {
  remove_action( 'generate_after_entry_content', 'generate_footer_meta' );
} );

It works, however it removes everything else, including the post-navigation. I’d like to keep that and only remove the categories and tags, so they don’t appear twice. Can you suggest a snippet for that? Thank you in advance.
