 * Hi all,
 * I’m entirely inexperienced in SEO, and am really having problems trying to work
   it out. I’m using the highly recommended plugin by Yoast, which does seem to
   be an excellent plugin, however I’m still having trouble, and thought one of
   you bright lot would be able to tell me where I’m going wrong.
 * Even if the rating is good (green) and I type in the exact keyword into Google,
   which is very specific to my page and region, it’s still absolutely nowhere to
   be seen on Google searches. There must be something wrong with my website which
   means its not showing up on the organic search results, but what might those
   problems be?
 * Thanks.

 * Link to your site would be useful as people can see what’s being generated.

 * I have used Google Webmaster Tools to try and identify any faults, but its suggests
   nothing has been found.

 * You might benefit by going to SEO > Titles & Metas > Post Types > and changing
   the posts and pages from ‘%%title%% %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%’ to ‘%%title%%%%
   page%%’
 * There’s no reason to use valuable page <title> space with ‘Level Two Youth Project’
   on every page and post.

    This url [http://www.leveltwo.org/use-premises/](http://www.leveltwo.org/use-premises/)
   might get more seo mileage by becoming leveltwo.org/felixstowe-youth-recreation-
   facility
 * the meta description for page might read:
    ‘Our Felixtowe youth hub recreation
   facility premises are located above Tesco, right in the middle of Felixstowe
   town centre.
 * WordPress sites do not HAVE to have a site title or tagline as would be defined
   in Settings > General. Why bother with it when the site title is replaced by
   a logo anyways. The tagline can be set to display;none (i am pretty sure) and
   replaced with a graphic that doesn’t dilute / or negatively impact what the site’s
   individual pages are targeting.

 * [@stuartleveltwo](https://wordpress.org/support/users/stuartleveltwo/) As well
   as having a good SEO plugin and using Google webmaster tools to rescan the site,
   you also need patience. It takes time (think weeks, not days) for Google to push
   a new page up its results.
 * It took months before I got the big box showing on the right side of the results
   page. Enough people have to be searching for you for Google to place you high
   up the results.
 * SEO is like shouting in a crowded room: however loud you shout, nobody takes
   any notice unless they’re interested in you. Shouting louder is using the SEO
   tool. Getting the interest takes time and other subtle stuff that Google has
   built in to its algorithms. I found that adding a business to Google (i.e. whereby
   they send you a physical letter to the business address) made a difference after
   a few weeks.

 * Thank you both for taking the time to respond. I’ll take into account the advise
   you’ve given me, as its much appreciated.
