    Hello Chris,

    Thanks for the kind words!

Setting any tags (I assume you refer to custom keywords) in Add-Meta-Tags is optional.

Please, set the WordPress category and tags on the right sidebar in the post editing screen, and Add-Meta-Tags will generate keywords from them automatically.

If you decide to further customize the keywords, you will have to enter them in the ‘Custom keywords’ box in the post editing screen. Please read the help text under that box for further tips. If you encounter any problems, feel free to post more feedback.

    Kind Regards,
    George

It is any conflict if I fill both?

No there is no conflict, but if you enter keywords in the ‘Custom Keywords’ box, they will override the Category and Tags you have set in the right sidebar.

To include the WordPress Categories and Tags in your list of custom keywords, you need to use %cats% and %tags% somewhere in the list.

    Example:

    keywords1, keyword2, %cats%, %tags%, keyword3

Tx a lot for your fast answer George,

Another question, several ppl recommend me to use the Yoast instead your plugin. But to me it look too complex. This is a really big difference between both?

    Regards

    Chris,

I have no idea about this since, as you can see, I develop another SEO plugin and have no experience with the others.

BTW, it’s really strange that I’m being asked about this lately. May I ask, whether you have asked the same question to the other developer or not? If yes, could you please point me to that discussion?

My suggestion is to try any SEO plugin and see which one helps you better meet your goals.

Please, let’s stick to the Add-Meta-Tags features in this forum. I highly suggest posting your last question to the Miscellaneous forum. There are better chances to get a reply there.

Thank you very much for your understanding and I’m sorry I cannot help you with this.

I’m now marking this issue as resolved.

    Best Regards,
    George

    Hello George,
I get your point no worry. Anyway Yoast is too complex and timekiller for me..
But this is very hard to measure how much is effective an SEO plugin. Any idea how can I do it?
    Regards
    Chris

Chris, I’m glad you understand. I’m not sure how the effectiveness of a SEO plugin can be measured. If you ask me, there is no SEO plugin that is more effective than publishing useful and unique content. πŸ˜‰

Yes George, you are 100% right about the unique content, but this is good for a blog, not for an e-commerce website, since you don’t add new content everyday.
Anyway Tx for your superb support and good luck to your lovely country!
    Regards
    Chris.

I see. In that case, customization of the title elements, descriptions, keywords and of course the content would be necessary on every single post. All these customizations are possible using add-meta-tags. This can be done from within the admin interface (mainly post editing screen) and also programmatically by attaching filtering functions to the available filter hooks. Although it is quite simple, it requires some coding experience.

Feel free to post your questions. I’m truly sorry about not being able to discuss the features of other plugins, but I do not use any.

Yeah, Greece will need it! Thanks a lot!
