server can’t handle it

    I seriously doubt this is a problem with the plugin – but in saving a group filter the database overheats uses too much memory and crashes my VPS

    this has happened three times

    do you have any inclination of why saving plugin organizer would require so much database?

    I’m not sure what you mean by group filter. Do you mean plugin group or plugin filter?

    Do you have any errors in your servers error log?

    this has happened 3 times

    I create a plugin group with about 20 or so plugins

    save it

    refresh a separate window that had page editor open

    Mysql runs out of memory and crashes

    I just tested with my site. I created a plugin group with all 32 of my active plugins in it and then edited a post. I added the group to the disabled standard logged in role and saved the post. The plugins were disabled and I didn’t have any problems. It sounds like your VPS might not have enough memory allocated to PHP.

    The host support is usually excellent, but after several different tickets and multiple discussions they kept assuring that settings looked good.

    until I uploaded a phpinfo.php file and looked…

    indeed memory_limit for PHP was way too low

    I’ve added you to my Christmas list…
