# Server down?

 * I have two WordPress websites. One has been running all day and the other has
   been down all day.
 * The site that is down(TennesseeRacer.com) just gives the message ‘The server 
   cannot be reached’ when trying to look at it. The last time anyone was on was
   at 4:07am according to my hit counter.
 * Is this a server problem or is there something I need to do? Can’t figure why
   my other site(RacingWithRich.com) would be working.

 * I just had the website name transferred from the person who built the site to
   myself a few days ago. But my GoDaddy account indicates that the site name is
   active and not in need of renewal until 2012.

 * I would talk to your host first.
 * Yes it is unusual for a site to be down for several hours, but unless you changed
   something on your site, eliminate the simple thing first.
 * I had similar problems with one of my sites a while back and there was an issue
   with my host. Called it to their attention and was fixed in an hour or so.

 * The site is set for your 1and1 hosts name servers but there are no IP records.
   Talk with your host. There isnt any configuration being sent out by their name
   servers to point the domain to your site.
