 * Hi,
I am running WP 1.5.2 and I am hosting it on 1&1 (www.1und1.com). It all
worked fine but since yesterday I cannot reach my admin area anymore. everything
under /wp-admin/ produces a 500 internal server error. I called my host and they
told me that they just ran a PHP update to version 4.4.1 since 4.4.0 had severe
security holes. It might be coincidence but my errors occur just since then.
As many other hosts have upgraded these days, I am wondering if anyone else has
similar problems? Or better has anyone found out how to solve this? At the support
hotline of 1 and 1 they told me that I have to change the script but they couldn’t
tell my anything else. Also I read a post that a 500 error can be caused by a
scripts.log file if it exceeds 10 meg. That might be also the case but I cannot
find that file anywhere and also google got me nothing useful. Does anyone know
about this? I would appreciate any help!

 * An error 500 is a generic error. When this error is displayed, the true description
and cause of the error is saved in your server error log, but cannot be displayed
in your browser. If you find the error in your server error log, it may point
you in the right direction. Or, if you quote that error in this thread, we may
   be able to help you.

 * The problem is that I don’t have my own server, but webspace at a host (1&1).
So I guess I cannot get the log. Or can I? Where could I find those logs?

 * You will have to ask your hosting provider.

 * I just tried my blog admin by chance and it worked again. I didn’t change anything.
Weird, maybe 1&1 did some changes again. Thanx for the help from you guys anyway!
