# Session cannot be started

 * My website is giving the error 
   PHP message: PHP Warning: session_start(): Session
   cannot be started after headers have already been sent in /htdocs/wp-content/
   plugins/learnpress/inc/class-lp-session-handler.php on line 72”
 * Did not have this error before, seems new. 
   Can you please help?

   with the following information:
    - **LearnPress version:** The specific version of LearnPress you’re currently
      using.
    - **Theme:** The name of the WordPress theme you have activated on your site.
    - **Location of the error:** On which page or during what action does this error
      occur? (e.g., when viewing a course, during checkout, etc.)
 * This information will allow us to reproduce the error and provide a more accurate
   solution.

 * Learnpress version 4.2.7.8
 * Theme: Astra 4.8.12
 * Seems to appear very consistently, even on pages not related to courses (e.g.
   the home page and WordPress admin view).

 * Thank you for providing that information.
 * We’ve investigated the “session_start() after headers have already been sent”
   error you reported and have confirmed the issue. We’ve implemented a fix in this
   [LearnPress beta version](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1h88ky8gyknwsVqEfbpc-K5C9TzEuiwHY?usp=sharing)
 * Please install this beta version and test to see if the error is resolved.
