Set permissions for custom post types

Hi,
I have created some custom post types with this extension and I’d like to allow to a certain User Role, to be able to add and edit these custom posts.
I have searched about this issue and found that “capability_type” parameter (register_post_type function) is responsible for this.
How can I set this parameter using your extension? Or how can I add this to already created custom post types anyway?
