# Set solid colour background

 * Using the hitchcock theme,
    Instead of using a “header image”, I want to set 
   a solid colour(say white) background to the entire site (not individual posts
   or pages).
 * Adding additional css as below is always getting overwritten.
 *     ```
       .site {
         background-color: #ffffff;
       } 
       ```
   
 * Adding an blank white image to the “header image” also didn’t work, as there 
   was an added gradient.
 * Does anyone have any suggestions?
