 * Good day folks,
 * may I kindly ask for help with setting up Smart Slider?
 * I am trying to have the carousel on homepage on full width but limiting its height
   to 70% only. It should automatically crop the images as needed.
 * Is this please possible?
 * I need the visitor to see both the carousel and at least a bit of text below,
   so that he knows to scroll down.
 * Thanks a lot!
    Mike

 * Hi [@telogne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/telogne/)
 * In Smart Slider 3 the height of the slider is usually calculated according to
   the Width – Height ratio that you set at Slider Settings > Size tab > Slider
   size: [https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/59-slider-size](https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/59-slider-size)

   and this will be either scaled up or down depending on the width of the container
   element. In the Auto responsive mode, we have some options that can be used for
   limiting the height of the slider, but you can only use pixel values there -https://
   smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/398-responsive-mode-auto – no %.
 * For the Fullpage responsive mode we have a setting that can be used for reducing
   the height of the slider with either fix pixels or with the height of another
   element. However the Fullpage responsive mode is only available in the Pro version,
   and on this forum we can only help in questions related to the Free version.
 * So if you are interested in using the mentioned setting of the Fullpage responsive
   mode, then please rather open a support ticket at: [https://smartslider3.com/contact-us/support/?ref=https://wordpress.org/support/topic/setting-maxheight-70-with-full-width/](https://smartslider3.com/contact-us/support/?ref=https://wordpress.org/support/topic/setting-maxheight-70-with-full-width/)
 * Best regards,
    Laszlo.
