 * Hi, everytime I make a new wordpress posts, my template field is empty. It would
   be a huge timesaver if I can set it to any template by default. I cannot find
   the way to do it.

 * Hi,
 * I’ll have a think about how to add this support, couple of options to ponder:
    - Make it an explicit setting on the Settings page (like the ‘Text’ field currently
      is).
    - Or make the form behave such that when you update the post/page it saves the
      current selected values as the global defaults (text, template, channel, search
      index, etc.
 * Probably go for the first option at least initially,

 * I’m somehow struggling to accomplish it. I can only change default Wishlist Template
   on the settings page, not the normal one.

 * Sorry for the confusion.
 * It currently is not possible to do this.
 * I was just proposing possible ways it might work in the next version of the plugin.
 * Cheers,
