# Setting up on Apache

 * I am trying to set up wordpress on my home server, but many of the pages download
   instead of opening. I have found this topic covered numerous times in the forum,
   but none of the suggestions seem to work so I am assuming the answers are out
   of date. Can anyone help

 * This is most likely a server configuration issue – not related to WordPress.
 * Does the issue occur on all file types (.html, .css) or just .php?

 * The basic installation of WordPress works on the server ok. It is only when I
   try to bring in the files from my old site that I get the issue. I have tried
   changing and deleting the htacess file, but that didn’t help.
 * Cant be the server or the new installation would not work
    Cant be the old site
   or it would not work on the old server.
 * That just leaves me, and I dont know where to look next 🙂
