Setup “Conditional Fields” without CF7’s custom tag

Hello everyone, crafto here for a quick question.
I wanted to know if it was possible to setup a Conditional Field without using CF7’s tag (ex : [select tagname …]) and instead use a <select name=”tagname”>. With a tag written the HTML way, the Conditional Field plugin isn’t even finding the name of the tag and therefore I can’t select anything in the “if” condition.
I want to know because I need to add some style to my dropdown but doing it on a [select] makes the stylying very limited compared to a <select> from what I could see with my research.
