# Setup “Conditional Fields” without CF7’s custom tag

 * Hello everyone, crafto here for a quick question.
 * I wanted to know if it was possible to setup a Conditional Field without using
   CF7’s tag (ex : [select tagname …]) and instead use a <select name=”tagname”>.
   With a tag written the HTML way, the Conditional Field plugin isn’t even finding
   the name of the tag and therefore I can’t select anything in the “if” condition.
 * I want to know because I need to add some style to my dropdown but doing it on
   a [select] makes the stylying very limited compared to a <select> from what I
   could see with my research.

 * I don’t know how conditional fields works because I have never used it, but in
   order to get the best support you should ask to the author in its support forum.

 * How can I delete this topic here since I have now asked my question on the support
   forum of “Conditional Fields” ? Or only admins can delete topics ?

 * you can’t delete it, you will be forever tainted with shame HAHA
 * ps this is because you called me eric with the “c” 😛
    and because (but less 
   important) that things are never deleted from forums unless it’s a serious security
   issue
