 * Hello,
 * I would like to set up this to make my buddypress site semi private and so admin
   must approve members instead of the buddypress user account activation. I dont
   want users to be able to register and get an activation email and code, rather
   admin must approve membership. I am new to buddypress. I installed this plug-
   in but unsure what to do next to disable the normal account activation. I hope
   this makes sense and would appreciate any help with this.

 * Our plugin is going to end up being on the wrong side of what you’re aiming for
   honestly. With how our plugin is done, the user needs to be able to activate
   and log in. When they do, they will have some user meta attached to their user
   that limits their reach within the BuddyPress components only. We don’t lock
   them out of the site as a whole, say a single blog post, for example.

 * Hello Michael and thank you for the response. Can you please tell me if there
   is a plug-in to do what I wish. I just dont want anyone to be able to sign up
   and an automatic Activation code and email be sent. So just anyone cannot sign
   up for my site?
 * I know this deviates from my original post but I cant seem to find any info to
   help me.
 * Thank You

 * You have to create all member account yourself and sent the username and the
   password to the members. Then your members will see the site reserved to them,
   while the whole world will only see the rest.
    Does this answer your question?

 * Hello bkleine,
 * Thank you for the information and yes it answers my question. I was hoping there
   were an automated way to handle this but I do understand.
 * Thank You Again
