# setup plugin

 * Hi there,
    I just installed the redirection plugin on a new website and would
   like to understand why, in stead of the page where I can directly manage the 
   urls, when I go to the redirection page I get a Welcome page where I am supposed
   to do the set up/configuration of the plugin. The page says that the plugin will
   configure / set up the database…. Is there a way to skip this intro and get directly
   to the redirection page as it used to be before?

 * Hi John,
    Thank you for your reply. Does this procedure change the database? 
   I read that the plugin might cause some problems with wordfence. Is that true?
   Do you suggest to install wordfence before or after completing the configuration
   of redirection?

 * Yes, it installs some database tables. It’s always done this, but now there is
   a setup screen.
 * Wordfence can block the REST API, causing problems for anything that uses it,
   which includes Redirection. You will require continual access to the REST API
   to use the plugin.
