 * I’m setting up a brand new website. Installed woocommerce ok, but after going
through store setup page, I get the following error:
 * **NotFoundError: Failed to execute ‘removeChild’ on ‘Node’: The node to be removed
is not a child of this node.**
 * There then follows a long area of text, which I can post here if necessary. I
have also looked at the woocommerce status page and can post too – just didn’t
want to fill up acres of space unnecessarily.
 * I am using Divi theme with woocommerce. There’s virtually nothing there at the
moment. The shop is based in France, but I’m in the UK (not sure that’s relevant!).
 * Any suggestions on what to do would be welcomed.

 * Hey [@hbg24](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hbg24/) ,
 * The `NotFoundError: Failed to execute 'removeChild' on 'Node'` error is typically
a JavaScript issue and can sometimes happen due to outdated or cached JavaScript
in your browser. Can you try [clearing your browser’s cache and cookies](https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-clear-your-browser-cache-in-all-major-browsers-fast-way/),
   then try reloading the page.
 * If that makes no difference, since a conflict between WooCommerce and a theme
or another plugin can trigger this error, let’s see if running a conflict test
resolves the issue. To do this, can you temporarily switch from Divi to a default
theme, like [Storefront](https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/), to see if
   this resolves the issue?
 * If that makes no difference, can you try temporarily deactivating all plugins**
except for WooCommerce** and see if that makes any difference? If the error goes
away, you can re-enable plugins one by one and check after each activation to
   identify the conflicting plugin.
 * You can read more on how to test for conflicts here: [https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/](https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/)
 * We recommend using the free [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
plugin which allows you to change the theme, and deactivate plugins, while still
logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site or making direct changes
   to your live site.

 * Thank you so much for all of this info.
 * I cleared the cache according to the instructions – didn’t make any difference.
 * I only have Divi theme (having been advised at some point in the past to delete
unused themes), so I went to add Storefront. I can see all the themes but the
button to install does nothing. Whatever I tried, the install button would “depress”
when clicked, but no action happened. I even went to the preview and tried to
install it from there, but it came back with a message to the effect of “no theme
   selected”.
 * Next I deactivated the only 2 other plugins on the site. Still no effect.
 * I certainly wouldn’t describe myself as an expert, but I have built many different
websites on WP/Divi, including several with Woocommerce, and have never had a
single issue, The difference in this case is location – me in the UK, the site
hosted at Ionos in France, and the business based in France. Because I entered“
France” as the location of the store, or maybe because of the French hosting,
everything (WP and Woocommerce) wants to display in French. For speed (my French
is ok but my English is better!) I have Chrome set to automatically translate
to English. Also, the site needs to be presented in English, which is a bit of
a concern because Woocommerce insists on presenting it in French on the front
end. I’m wondering if this whole situation could be responsible for the errors.
Maybe it would be better to switch to Ionos UK. Could this even be the cause
   of the issues?
 * Thank you in advance for your assistance.

 * There’s something very weird going on. I had used PPWP to password protect the
website. However, I have just switched it off, cleared caches, used an incognito
window, but it refuses to go straight into the website – insists on password.
As with trying to install a new theme, some buttons appear to have been completely
inactivated. I’ve never seen so many problems with a set-up!

 * Hello again. There was one thing I forgot to mention. During the initial WP set
up at Ionos in France, it took 6-7 hours to complete, instead of the usual 2-
5 minutes. Today, given that I had only just started the project, I decided to
give up on the original installation, transfer the domain to my UK Ionos control
panel, and start over. I have now done that, added Divi, installed Woocommerce
without any problems whatsoever, and am able to build the website. I am convinced
that the original installation by Ionos.fr was somehow responsible for all of
the issues I encountered. Many thanks for your earlier response, but I have resolved
the problem by making the above changes, so I am hopeful that all will now run
   smoothly!

 * Hello [hbg24](https://wordpress.org/support/users/hbg24/),
 * Thank you for your reply.
 * I understand that you’ve resolved the issue by transferring the site and reinstalling
it on the UK Ionos, and it’s great to hear that everything is running smoothly
   now.
 * If any further questions or concerns arise, please feel free to reach out.
   We’re
   here to help. 🙂
 * Best regards.
