The last time I confirmed the download was working correctly was 6/ 29. I believe the 3.9.1 update came out after that. * One of the downloads arrives with the file attached to the Email Before Download email, but the Contact Form email is not delivered. * The two other downloads do not arrive, because the EBD email is not delivered, however the Contact Form emails for these downloads are delivered. * Another strange thing is that the two downloads that deliver the Contact Form email now show the sender as (unknown sender). We have looked into the problem you described. It seems that we have lost some compatibility with CF7 and the recent update to 7.3.9. Before the “From” section of the form read like this: [JaguarAudioDesign.com] <[email@jaguaraudiodesign. com]>. It now produces (unknown sender) in the from field of the email, as well as the message “via yourhostingaccount.com” in the mailed-by field. * mailed-by: jaguaraudiodesign.com (before) mailed-by: yourhostingaccount.com ( now) * According to Google this is related to the spam filter, which must be catching the EBD message with the attachment before it even hits the Inbox or the Spambox. * It appears that the CF email is arriving and I’m guessing the EBD email is not arriving, because it has an attachment. * [https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1311182?hl=en&ctx=mail](https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1311182?hl=en&ctx=mail) * According to Google support this appears when Gmail addresses determine that this message is arriving from a third party, so other users might be experiencing this issue when messages are sent to Gmail accounts. The following instruction is given, but I don’t quite follow what it means. * “Gmail checks whether emails are correctly authenticated. I was going to try to downgrade EBD, but I can’t figure out the URL for prior versions. If you can supply a link I will give it a try. However, the $10 paid support is a generous feature. Paid tech support would cost $100 per hour for anything else. Anyone can afford an amount like that. Now the EBD file does not arrive. As I mentioned above, I thought it might have something to do with what I’m seeing in the “mailed by:” field. Very strange that it just stopped working without any changes other than the new WP version. The best way to do this is have a test page with the shortcode for just the Contact Form and a second shortcode for just the download.
