# Shape Divider: width setting doesn’t work

 * No matter which option I choose for the shape divider, I can adjust the height
   but not the width

 * Hi,
 * please following these steps:
 * – Update Elementor to its latest version.
 * – – Deactivate all of your plugins except Elementor. If this solves the problem,
   gradually activate your plugins one by one, until you spot the problematic plugin.
 * – switch your WordPress theme to WordPress TwentySixteen (or other default WordPress
   theme) temporarily – and see if it solves your error.

 * Shape divider doesn’t have a function to alter the width. One way to work around
   that is to pre-process your image.
 * You could either pre-process your image with PhotoShop, or you could do this 
   in with Elementor. First add another section in your page, then insert background
   image and active shape divider, modify it and take a screenshot and save it. 
   Then go back to your column, insert the screenshot as background.
