 * Whenever I try to activate the plugin, I get this:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION
   or T_VAR or ‘}’ in /homepages/13/d106281348/htdocs/yf/wp-content/plugins/sharedaddy/
   sharing.php on line 4

 * The plugin is PHP5 only

 * Hmm. I’m not familiar with PHP5, but does this have to do with my server? I use
   1and1.
 * Is there anything I can do?
 * Thanks, John!

 * Yes, it’s to do with your server – you probably have PHP4. For 1and1 it will
be automatically enabled later this year, but there’s an FAQ about enabling PHP5
   yourself:

 * My server uses PHP 5.2.13 and I am also experiencing difficulties activating
this plugin. I get the following error message:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function: plugin_dir_path() in [path]/wp-content/
   plugins/sharedaddy/sharedaddy.php on line 11
 * I can find line 11 in the code but don’t know enough about PHP to fix this

 * What version of WordPress are you using? It needs to be at least 3.0

 * Thanks John. I thought that might be an issue. I’ll upgrade to the current version
   and see how things go.
