 * Thanks. Yes, being able to disable sharing is on my list of things to do…some
   day. This is a free plugin, if you are willing to financially sponsor this update
   I can get it done as a high priority.

 * A bit more on this. The sharing buttons aren’t actual social media buttons connected
   to their sites. In fact it is a plain old button that calls some javascript code
   that then does the sharing.
 * I inherited this plugin but my reading of `/wp-content/plugins/speakout/js/public.
   js` from line 157 shows that until the button is clicked, there is no connection
   to social media sites.

 * Regardless of what these buttons “do” or not, it would be nice to disable them
   by a plugin option.

 * The ability to disable them has been there all along.
