# Shield plus another?

 * We started with the Shield plugin. Our IT friend recommended adding Wordfence
   in addition!
 * 1- Can we have Wordfence and Shield (free versions) co-exist at the same time?
   
   2- if so, will there be any benefit in having them both? I don’t want to tax 
   our site with 2 plugins since both might have the same free features (please 
   don’t get mad :).

 * There’s no reason to run both. You can do it, but if you run into troubles, try
   disabling one of them.
 * People recommend what they know, or what other people have recommended to them.
   Don’t doubt your decision to use Shield just because someone else chose another
   🙂
