# Short link errors

 * Hi! 🙂
    Please help me to solve 2 problems.
 * On my site ([http://www.uzyn.com.ua](http://www.uzyn.com.ua)) I use <?php echo
   wp_get_shortlink(); ?> in Footer for to get Short link of page. As I understand,
   Short link is a unique address for every Post, Page & Media. But I have problems
   with it.
 * 1. This page ([http://www.uzyn.com.ua/category/афіша/](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/category/афіша/))
   has short link ?p=11664. But if I go to [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=11664](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=11664)
   I come in other page – [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/201508-open-pharmacy/](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/201508-open-pharmacy/)
   which has the same short link address & I don`t know why. Why is it?
 * 2. Page [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/нерухомість/](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/нерухомість/)
   has short link [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=1443](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=1443).
   But if I go to [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=1443](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/?p=1443)–
   it`s nothing. Why is it?

 * Need more information about those two pages (double check their permalinks) if
   the above code doesn’t help a bit.

 * I tried to use <?php echo wp_get_shortlink(get_the_ID()); ?> but it’s the same
   result 🙁
 * My Common Settings of Permalinks now is : Post name [http://www.uzyn.com.ua/sample-post/](http://www.uzyn.com.ua/sample-post/)
   
   I use it for better reading, but because some times I can change URL name – inside
   the site I use shortlinks (as I understand they a unique & stable).
 * Need I check permalinks in other way?
 * For example, this 2 pages have same ID & I don`t know why. You can see ID (shortlink)
   in footer (down of page / last text line)

 * You can try creating two new posts with the original content and deleting the
   existing problematic posts.
 * I will have a look at your site in a little while to see if I can help with any
   other suggestions 🙂
