shortcode button with category limiter

    I’m trying to use a shortcode to show a list of events in a certain category, but the button that is generated in the shortcode links to the full calendar, not the calendar with the category limit applied. Is there a way to edit that button to show just the categories I want? Or perhaps remove the button so I can create my own button?

    (In my search for an answer I came across what appears to be an old forum posting from 2015 where it seems this problem was fixed. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here!)
