# Shortcode For Specific Category

 * I’m looking for a shortcode to list only a single category. I tried this:
 * [directory_category slug=”affiliate” view=”grid” list_order_by=”title” list_order
   =”ASC” limit=”8″]
 * But it didn’t work. How can I achieve this?
 * UPDATE: It actually does work if I use the Classic editor, but it doesn’t work
   with the block builder (I tried inserting it as a shortcode block and also as
   a Classic editor block, but neither will even let me save). Is there any way 
   around that?

 * In my efforts to make something work, I also noticed that even in the classic
   editor, the specific category shortcode does not abide by any layout rules. It
   will always go to the top of the page, regardless of where you place it relative
   to any other content.
