# shortcode in widget?

 * I have to have 3 columns in the footer and it must be the original footer above
   the copyright and the extra space below, so I’m using the footer widget with 
   column-group and one-third but I see the shortcodes on the website pages. Does
   this work with widgets? If not, that’s ok. I’ll just need to figure out something
   else. It’s a great plugin!

 * When making the shortcode, the author would have to add `add_filter('widget_text','
   do_shortcode');` after the add_shortcode function.
 * For now, you can just use the plugin [Shortcodes in Sidebar Widgets](https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcodes-in-sidebar-widgets/).
