 * Hi, enjoying the plugin. A couple questions, though: Why isn’t the link shown
   with the [permalink] shortcode clickable? It ought to be. I am using html formatted
   emails.
 * Also, the only image shortcode, [featured_image], does not display an image unless
   you specify a featured image in the post, I assume. However, it would be nice
   if it showed the first image in the post, if a featured image has not been specified.
   We never bother with that extra step, since Facebook and other social media will
   show the first image anyway, as it is included in the “og-image” open graph meta
   tags.
 * The only other request I’d have is to enable subscribed receivers of notifications
   to unsubscribe themselves.
 * Thank you.

 * Hi jamminjames,
    Thanks for your message.
 * BNFW outputs what the database stores so many shortcodes only output URLs as
   opposed to full code. If you want to create a link using `[permalink]`, you can
   do this when a notification is set to use HTML by using the WYSIWYG editor, or
   by using the ‘Text’ tab to do so manually.
 * To show the first image would involve use of a new and different shortcode instead.
   Many users don’t use the featured image in the same way you do so I wouldn’t
   want to affect default WordPress behaviour for other users of BNFW. I will however,
   consider the idea some more.
 * Unsubscribe will be a feature I plan to add as an add-on but this is a long way
   off yet.
 * Hope this all helps and you continue to enjoy using the plugin.
 * Thanks,
    Jack

 * Okay, thanks, should’ve thought of that! I just wrapped it in href code, like:
 * `<a href="[permalink]">Check it out here</a>`
 * Or, I suppose, if you wanted the url to show, you could just do this:
 * `<a href="[permalink]">[permalink]</a>`
 * As for the first image problem, another shortcode for that would be much appreciated.
 * Thanks!
